Andy: "Chris... come in and have a seat."

Andy: "So, she was out within 24 hours. You did well- I think you may have actually managed to shake her a bit. Impressive."

Chris: "It would have been more impressive if I'd had more time with her."
Andy: "I don't doubt that. That's why I called you here tonight- I have a proposition for you."

Andy: "I need her distracted- she's an unknown variable to me right now, and I don't need her getting in the way. She's worth too much to me monetarily to get rid of completely, so I'll let you have a little fun with her."

Andy: "How you handle her is completely up to you- our earlier arrangement still stands, though. I don't want her dead, just busy. I'm transferring $300,000 into an account for you as payment for your previous work for me. I'll transfer an additional $6,000 a week while you're on the new job."

Chris: "$6,000?!"

Andy: "I'm feeling generous, don't spoil it for yourself. Also, I'm moving you out of that shit hole you call an apartment and into a new house over on 145th. Check with Janet downstairs before you leave- she'll give you directions and the keys."

Chris: "When should I start?"
Andy: "By the end of the week- I don't want her to start thinking she's imagined what happened to her while she was in your care."

Chris: "I get to torture the bird and you're paying me? I don't see how I can lose."
Andy: "You'll know if you let me down."
Chris: "I won't disappoint, I assure you."

Andy: "Do we have a deal, then?"
Chris: "It's a deal, Mr. Stone."
Andy: "Good. I'm going to check out the lab so I'll walk you downstairs." |
