Jade: "My poor Erebus- so quiet!"

Andy: "Anything new to report, Jade?"
Jade: "Erebus regained consciousness tonight around sunset, just as predicted. The new strain had a few unexpected side effects, such as the strange skin tone and an apparent lack of vocalization."
Andy: "You named him?"
Jade: "Of course!"
Andy: "Anything else?"

Jade: "Glass thinks he may be capable of telepathic abilities, just not with us. This is a huge leap- if we can localize the part of the virus which caused this, we'll be sure to include it in the final, erm, product."
Andy: "What about the sensitivity to sunlight?"

Jade: "Unfortunatly, Erebus still displays the catastrophic reaction to direct sunlight. I've been working on new plantings to deal with that, however. I won't let you down, sir."
Andy: "No, you won't."

Andy: "Xero? I thought I hired you as a mathematician. Why are you playing with that corpse?"

Xero: "Mr. Blue wasn't finished working out the problem I gave him when Glass killed him. I was hoping to put him back together again, but things aren't working quite right. I think he's been hexed."

Andy: "And what of the problem I gave you to work on last week?"
Xero: "It's perplexing, to say the least. The numbers- they hide the answer from me in such a mocking way!"

Glass: "You won't find the answer to your question in numbers, sir. There's clearly a metaphysical interaction at play here."

Glass: "To become more than what you start with, you have to pull in energies from all around, not just from the original source."

Glass: "Jade's plants, Xero's numbers- they'll unlock some of the secrets you want. It's only through my work on the other aspects of the virus are you going to get what you really want- to be exponentially better than the source."

Glass: "I suspect 'Erebus' has telepathic abilities based on energy waves I picked up on just after he woke up. I'm nearly positive I can isolate the part of the virus that created this ability."
Andy: "This is the best news I've heard all night. You're doing fantastic work, Glass."
Glass: "Thank you, sir."

Jade: "Oh! Mr. Stone, you're in luck! It's Lupita's feeding time! Would you like to watch?"

Jade: "Glass, give me access to holding cell number 2!"

Jade: "Don't cry, little boy. Your death will help secure the future of a truly great man!"

Jade: "Good girl! Such a sweet thing you are, Lupita!"
Andy: "You think the secret to overcoming sunlight lies in a man-eating cowplant named Lupita?"
Jade: "I'm sure of it! She feeds on the blood in the bodies she ingests, excreting the solid remains after about 6 hours. As a plant she uses the sunlight during photosynthesis- the blood of her victims insures her of immortality, just as the vampires you wish to emulate. This particular plant is over 4000 years old!"
Andy: "Quite impressive."

Andy: "Keep me informed of any further progress with the latest experiments. I'll check in with you all again next week, keep up the good work." |
