Mary: "Hi!"

Anthony: "Hello, Mary."
Mary: "So…"
Anthony: "So."
Mary: "Sorry about that whole falling on the priest at your brother's wedding thing."
Anthony: "Falling? Mary, you lunged at him."

Mary: "I'm sure it must have looked that way, but… oh, hell. Let's just say we thought Brian was making a terrible mistake, and we were trying to save him."
Anthony: "I appreciate the sentiments. I'm sure our mother does, too."
Mary: "Aha! I knew I saw her smiling into her handkerchief!"
Anthony: "Don't get me wrong, Laura is a lovely woman. Her and Brian are well suited to one another, and I'm sure once this night is over, she'll become her normal, likeable self again. However, Brian always was a Mama's Boy, and I don't think Mom will ever really let him go."

Mary: "Are we forgiven then?"
Anthony: "That depends. Is the 'we' you and Emily, or you and the rest of your personalities?"
Mary: "Couldn't I just get a blanket forgiveness to cover everything?"
Anthony: "I suppose, but just this once."
Mary: "Thanks! So, want to go out to dinner with me next Saturday night?"
Anthony chuckled and shook his head.

Anthony: "I've already had this conversation, but maybe it was with one of your multiples."
Mary: "No, it was with me. I just thought maybe you'd changed your mind."
Anthony: "Why would I have changed my mind? If anything, you've exhibited even more instability."
Mary: "Exactly. I'm telling you Doc, I'm going to grow on you. Soon my erratic and mysterious ways will lure you right to me."
Anthony: "And then what?"

Mary: "Then we'll go out a few times and you'll find out that I'm actually quite ordinary and boring, and we'll live in blissful indifference with each other until we're old and gray."
Anthony: "Is that right?"
Mary: "Yes. So, what do you say? Saturday night, some Italian food and a bottle of wine?"
Anthony sighed and shook his head, though Mary could see a smile trying desperately to tug at his lips.

Anthony: "I'm sorry, Mary, but I still have to say no. Call me in a few years if you decide to forego the temporary insanity and go straight to ordinary and boring, and maybe we can talk. But right now, we're just in two different places, and I'm still your doctor."
Mary: "Not really! It was only because I got pneumonia. And, you know, died for awhile."
Anthony: "I understand, but it's still awkward and a bit unethical."
Mary nodded and downed the rest of the champagne in her glass before standing up and kissing Anthony on the forehead.

Mary: "I'll see you around, Doc."

Mary scanned the room looking for Emily, and found her friend waving to her frantically from the hallway. Mary mouthed 'What?' from across the room, and Emily looked around comically, making sure no one saw as she pulled a bottle of tequila out from behind her back. Mary grinned.
