James: "This is completely hopeless."
Emily: "Deception Pass isn't that big, and obviously he was on foot. Why don't we just do a systematic search of the area instead of driving around aimlessly like we have been?"
James: "I hate to say this, but the sun is already coming up. The best I can hope for now is that he's hiding out somewhere where he'll be safe. Damn it, I really should have just staked Peterson!"
Emily: "Maybe. It's not like he really told us anything in the end anyway. But hey, at least you got to make him bleed and cry a lot."

James: "True. Next time I think I'll just stake him outright though."
Emily: "I won't stop you. So what now?"
James: "I'm going to drop you off at your house and then head home myself. We can start looking again first thing tomorrow night."
Emily: "Why wait?"
James: "Vampire? Daylight? Bad combination, Kitten."
Emily: "I'm not a vampire. You can go home and let me borrow your car for the day and I can keep looking."

James: "I don't think I'm comfortable with that. I hate the idea of you out there alone."
Emily: "Tristan is still Tristan, right? You don't think he's gone Evil or anything, do you?"
James: "It's not him I'm worried about. Maybe you could call Markus and have him help you?"
Emily: "It's nearly 5AM, I don't think he'd appreciate being woken up just to play babysitter. I'm not fragile, James. I can handle myself. What if he's out there somewhere and needs help? I'll go looking for him on foot if I have to. Besides, you said yourself -- vampires plus daylight are a bad combination. I don't think I'll have much to worry about from the Order."

James squinted at the nearly imperceptibly lightening sky as he pulled in front of his house. He hated to admit even to himself just how much he was worried about his friend's disappearance.

James: "Good point. You can take the Cyclone. The top on this car's a bit dodgy."
Emily: "The Cyclone? Just how many cars do you have, James?"
James: "Everyone needs a hobby, Kitten."
Emily: "True. So do you think I should bring any sort of emergency supplies? Maybe a blanket in case we need to dodge the sun, and some blood?"
James: "There's a heavy blanket in the foot well behind your seat. I'll grab the rest for you right now."

Emily: "Thank you, James."
James: "I should be thanking you."
Emily: "Hold off on that until I bring Tristan and your car back safe and sound."

Apparently, James has found Emily quite feline throughout this episode.
