Episode Four - Part 9

Emily: "I cannot wait to stand under a scalding hot shower for no less than three days. I feel like I'm completely covered in grime and sweat, and I don't even want to think about how badly I smell."
Tristan: "You don't smell bad at all. Trust me."


Emily: "Did you want to come in, or were you just going to go home?"
Tristan: "I'm not sure. Three days is an awful long time to spend in the shower -- I wouldn't want you to get lonely."
Emily: "Are you offering to keep me company?"
Tristan: "You could say that."


Emily let her eyes remain closed for a few seconds after Tristan pulled away, savoring the lingering sensation of the kiss. When she finally let them flutter open, she found him smiling peacefully.

Just as she was about to lean in to kiss him again a flickering light from behind the curtains of her house caught her attention, shattering the moment.


Emily: "Oh god…"
Tristan: "What?"
Emily: "I just realized I have to face Mary. She's not going to be very happy with me for bringing Jacob back to the house."
Tristan: "I can kidnap you if you want. We can hole up at my place for a few days… by the time she sees you again she'll be so happy you survived that she'll forget all about it."


Emily: "Yeah but then she'd just want to kill you."
Tristan: "Good point. Did you want me to come in for backup?"
Emily: "I think I should probably face this on my own."
Tristan: "Then how about I call a bit later and see if you've survived?"
Emily: "That would be perfect."


Mary: "You would not believe the night I had."

I could not be happier with Emily right now. And I loved Jacob's flashbacks... I get more intrigued by him the more I find out. Mostly because you only give little bits and pieces, so there's still an air of mystery around him. Brava! :D

I.... LOVE this episode. It came sooner than I expected. I have Emily/Tristan shipping. THEY'RE TOOOOOGEEETTTHHHHEERRRR. Jacob is alive. If not a bit pissed off. And for once I'm not spazzing about cliffhangers (What the hell kind of night did Mary have?)

So this episode was amazing, even though I did go to napland completely convinced that there was much more yet to be posted. :P I'm not used to getting only nine-parters! I missed seeing James, Deanna and Chris, but I loved seeing Stephanie again, as well as all of Marcus's screentime... and, of course, Emily and Tristan FINALLY getting together. ^_^ They're so precious, and their banter was amazing. I'm so glad that the wait for episode 5 won't be as long. ^_^ Thanks for posting this one!

I'm so glad someone just asked about this on the TSR forums because now I can actually answer your question... XD

I used the ceiling tile set by jgwhiteus on MTS2. I prefer them because they come with different 'tiles'.

It's really pathetic how often I check Deception Pass for new episodes. I barely play Sims anymore, and yet, there is this magnetic force that always draws me back here. I honestly really do love your work. This episode is unfortunately a bit too short for my liking (how selfish of me!). Kidding.

Aside from a fantastic story line, your sims are beautiful. Everything visually is wonderful. The hair, clothes, faces, items, decorations, rooms, etc. EVERYTHING is so neat. Is there somewhere special you are getting these downloads?? If not, do you upload your sims to the exchange? I'd LOVE to have an Emily, Mary, Jacob, Tristan, etc. in my game. Good job on it all.

I did make the writing on Jacob's wall, yes. ^_^ It's just a simple custom wallpaper that uses a Maxis paper for the base with lots of writing tossed on it.

I've been a fan of 'Deception Pass' for a while now, but obviously I'm a first time commenter. Anyway, I love everything about it! The detail that goes into it is amazing, I love how there's a balance between humour and bleakness. I have a weak spot for vampire stories, I've written so many in the past I'm trying to work on one now but my sims are unfortunately being unco-operative.

I love the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' referrences as well, I tend to get over excited when I find one...it's quite embarrassing.
