Mary: "Wow, nice place."
Anthony: "It's not much, but it's home. Unfortunately, I don't exactly have a spare room."
Mary: "That's okay, I'm happy on the couch."
Anthony: "Er, actually, that's sort of my bed."

Mary: "So… you don't have a spare bedroom or a master bedroom?"
Anthony: "I have a master bedroom. Except that it's more like a master office."
Mary: "That's okay. I slept on the floor for the first two weeks we moved into the new place. I've got the tossing and turning down to a perfectly choreographed art form."
Anthony: "I have a better idea. Follow me."

Mary followed Anthony past the kitchen and through a small hallway. A left turn would take them up a staircase, but instead, Anthony opened the door directly ahead of them and ushered Mary through it. For a moment, she thought they'd stepped outside, but as her eyes adjusted to the dim light of the coming dawn, she realized they were in a large screened-in porch. There was a comfortable looking couch with a striped slipcover serving as protection against the elements, a wicker rocking chair and a small coffee table. There was also an abundance of potted plants and flowers, all in full bloom.

Mary: "This is beautiful!"
Anthony: "Thank you. It also gets very bright and sunny during the day."

Mary grinned.

Anthony: "I thought you might say that. I'll go fetch some pillows and blankets."
Mary: "Could you fetch me something to change into, too? It doesn't have to be pretty. Just any old thing you have that isn't covered in blood would be suitable."
Anthony: "Of course. There's a dresser in the room at the top of the stairs, take anything you want. I'll get things set up out here."

Mary walked slowly up the stairs, suddenly feeling the action of the night in her limbs. They were heavy and weak, and just beginning to ache.

The upstairs room was a bungalow with no door. She found the light switch easily and crossed the room to the oak dresser. She slid drawers open one by one until she found a soft shirt and a pair of boxers, hoping that when Anthony said 'take anything' he wouldn't mind her going through his underwear drawer.

There was a small bathroom attached to the room. She pushed the door open and turned on the light, nearly yelping when she came face-to-face with her reflection in the mirror. There was still blood crusted under her nose from where Jared had opened the door in her face. Her hair looked like she'd been lost in the wilderness for days, and her clothes did nothing to disguise the fact that she'd been shot at and attacked by several vampires and a serial killer.

She turned on the shower and then slipped out of her clothes, taking care with the wound on her shoulder. She then carefully stepped into the steaming water, willing it to wash away the blood and grime and the very memory of the entire night. Just as she began to relax, it hit her that Bellie's diner, his livelihood, had burned down. And the fact that it had been all over the news.

She should probably make a few calls.

She shut the water off, grabbed one of the fluffy towels from the rack and dried off, then put on Anthony's shirt and boxer shorts. When she got downstairs, he was just hanging up the phone.

Anthony: "I heard the water running, so I took the liberty of making a few phone calls for you. I hope you don't mind."
Mary: "That depends on who you were calling. If it was the men in white coats, then yes, I mind."
Anthony: "Nothing like that. Not yet, anyway. I just tracked down Bellie, and-"
Mary: "And I hope you didn't tell him where I am, because I'm really tired of running away from people who want to kill me."

Anthony: "Mary, he doesn't want to kill you! He's just glad you're okay. He wanted me to let you know that he's fully insured, and he'll be fine."
Mary: "Really? That's all?"
Anthony: "Well, no, not exactly. He also said that once the diner's up and running again, you're more than welcome to stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but he really doesn't want you anywhere near his kitchen again."
Mary: "Fair enough. I should call Emily."

Anthony: "No need. I expect she was probably sleeping, but I left a message on your machine to let her know you're okay in case she sees the news."
Mary: "Fabulous. Now all I need is something to take the edge off."
Anthony: "I thought you might, I know I could. Follow me."

Mary followed Anthony back out to the porch, where there was a table set up with two glasses of red wine and two pieces of cheesecake.

Mary: "Wine and cheesecake?"
Anthony: "Someone told me cheesecake was healthy after dark, so we'd better eat them quickly."

Mary smiled, sat down and began eating. She hadn't felt hungry, but was surprised at how quickly she managed to scarf down the plate of French fries. As she sipped the wine, she considered asking Anthony just how much he knew about vampires and how. But her eyelids felt too heavy and her mind felt too slow, so instead she sat with him in silence watching as the sun rose.

Oh, Anthony. I'm becoming really attached to him thanks to this episode (though I've always thought he was adorable.) And it should be fun to see what job Mary gets next.

A, where did you find that mens collared shirt? I've been looking for one for my new Kay & James, and I'm not talented enough to make one. Could you point me in the right direction, please?

Here ya go! (http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/sims2/clothing/female/adult/pjs/440763/) Had to do a bit of digging as I apparently downloaded it a lot longer ago than I thought. ^_^

HAHA! Those last 3 pictures made me laugh. It's as if he didn't really know what to do with her sleeping on his lap. LoL.

If I'm the only one that found it funny, then it may be my lack of sleep and food aswell. When I'm passed the point of no sleep, I tend to laugh at everything.

No, I found it amusing, too. I mean, after all, how do you solve a problem like Maria?
