She picked up the gun Chris had left for Ace and felt a new rush of adrenaline surge through her veins. A rage began to boil up inside her, taking over her motor functions.

As she stood over Ace's sleeping form, a noise from outside caught her attention.

Andy: "Let's go over this one more time, just to make sure everyone knows what they need to do. James-?"

James: "Right. First the three of us are going to surround the house. Markus is going to break down the front door and be generally really distracting. Tristan will rush in and help Markus take out the kidnappers while I sneak through the chaos and carry Mary out over my shoulder. She'll probably scream a lot and hit me, but I'll do it anyway. The kevlar should help protect me from the worst blows."
Markus: "'Be generally really distracting'? What exactly are you envisioning here, James?"

James: "Hmmm... lots of screaming and arm waving probably. If you could knock a few of them over with the waving arms, that would help out a lot."

Tristan: "And I'm to 'take out' kidnappers? Nice plan, James."
James: "I'm glad you think so, Tristan. It took me all day to come up with it."
Tristan: "And it shows!"

Andy: "Well then if you're all ready..."

James: "Oh FUCK."
Emily: "James?"

Mary: "Honey, I'm home!"
