![]() Early the next morning, Mary made her way back to the hospital. She walked slowly down the hallway, the buzzing of the fluorescent lights filling her head. She'd been too wound up to sleep anymore the previous night after getting Emily home. James and Tristan had left just before sunrise, neither of them speaking much about what had gone on in their respective dream worlds. Within a few minutes she was standing just outside room 314. She took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
Mary looked around nervously, clutching Kat's charts tightly behind her back. She backed up to a table in the corner and dropped the papers onto it.
Dr. Sutherland: "Why are you here?" Dr. Sutherland sighed and lead Mary out of the room.
Mary blinked up at the doctor. Mary: "How? Why? I mean... clearly she wasn't in the best of health, but she'd been holding on for so long..."
Dr. Sutherland took of his glasses and rubbed his eyes before putting them back on. He took a deep breath and paused before answering.
Mary could see there was something else he wanted to say, but he didn't. She didn't push. He gave her one last look before walking down the hallway. Mary watched until he turned the corner, then took one final look into Kat's room before letting the door swing shut.

Wow Markus
And I really hope that Emily can concor her fears
I just read all of episode 15 and it's such a great episode!
I love the story and the characters and can only hope for Tristan that Emily will manage to get over her fears and that they will end up together. :)
*runsoffgigglingmadly*
:D
damn you for making such cute vampires! *lol*
i've been reading this chapter only sporadically because i dont have the internet at my new house just yet, but it's the first thing i have been coming to on my lunch breaks since i realised it was done!
so many people want to cameo in this, that's how wonderful it is. there's a lot of expectation and excitement regarding who's getting with who and what is going to happen next. i have to say some of these things make me squee a little bit but for once, the need for suprise prevails and i find myself not wanting to guess what is going to happen. this happens rarely for me, and only if i am enjoying something so well written that it takes natural progression to improve the story and entertain the reader. What i mean is, i enjoy the suspense, suprises etc because even if so many people are spotting these glaringly obvious teasers/hints, you still suprise us with the opposite, or different.
i dont know if that made sense but i guess i know what i mean. in simplest terms - keep it up, this is wonderful.
:D
You two do an excellent job at keeping me up late reading and all my emotions on the edge! (Yes, I have cried, laughed, shaken fist at the screen hehe you name it!) Keep up the great work you two!
I also added you to my live journal (I am fairly new to it, mainly because I did not know about it until I clicked your link on MTS2 forums and read Deception Pass entirely in one night...lol, and yes I am another Tristen lover...*holds onto his leg and doesn't let go!* lololol)!
This story is just amazing :)
