There were dozens of extras wandering around, dressed in various absurd costumes, no one really quite sure of where they were needed at any given time. Elise seemed completely enraptured now, her every move a comical overplay of emotion and grandeur. Mary's eyes narrowed, a thought taking form in the deep recesses of her mind.

Emily: "I wonder if Elise is behind all the creative energy suckage."

Mary: "Damn it, I was getting there!"
Emily: "Mmm hmm. I don't think we're the only ones being affected, either."
Mary: "I didn't think James sounded very good tonight."
Emily: "So what do you think we should do about it?"
Mary: "Let's watch her for a while longer, see if she goes off anywhere or keeps going back to some sort of power supply thing or something."

Emily raised her eyebrows.

Emily: "Power supply thing?"

Mary shrugged.

Mary: "Sure, some kind of… electro-magnetic, brain-wave sucking… vacuum cleaner?"
Emily: "I'm going to go use the restroom. I'll let you know if I find any… unusual cleaning supplies."
Mary: "Not things that clean, things that suck."

Mary: "This is unbearable."
Emily: "Yes. I'll be back."

Chris: "So… come here often?"
