James tried to take a few minutes to regain his composure, to let the seething rage cool just a small amount before returning to the party. Soon the anger was replaced with concern- Mary really was going to leave with that psycho vampire, and she could very well end up dead. He bolted out of the bathroom and straight out the front door to his car, where he stopped dead.

All four tires on his car were flat, and Chris' car was gone. Fury came to join his concern again as he turned and headed back into the house.

Serge: "So we were standing there, minding our own business, when all of the sudden-"
James: "I need the keys to someone's car now."
Tristan: "Take mine."
Emily: "What's going on?"
James: "Your friend is clearly out to get herself killed. For some reason I feel it's my duty to stop her, though honestly I don't know why."

Emily: "What do you mean?"
James: "She left with Chris just now and put gaping holes in all four of my tyres."
Emily: "Fine. It's her choice to go on this little suicide mission."
James: "Emily, she could die."

James' blood ran cold as Emily remained expressionless, not even as much as a shadow of concern crossing her blank face. While James could tell there was a wedge being driven between the two friends tonight, he hadn't realized just how far it had gone.

Markus: "Um… aren't they dating or something?"
James: "Or something."
Tristan: "James… go."

Andy: "Is someone going to fill us in on what's going on here? I mean, he certainly lacks grace and tact, but is he really dangerous?"
Markus: "Now I feel more comfortable admitting that I thought he was an asshole."

Tristan: "All I know is that he's bad news."
Emily: "He's the vampire that kidnapped her."
The room went quiet, an intensely uncomfortable silence that seemed to permeate the very air itself.

Deanna: "Is this some sort of bizarre delayed Stockholm syndrome?"
