It had been an almost painfully long day for Emily. They hadn't made it home until nearly 4am, and her first client of the day had been due in at 9. She made a mental note to not open before 3:00 from now on.
As she finished cleaning up for the day, her mind wandered back over the last 24 hours. She desperately wanted to talk to Andy but had been going nonstop since walking through the door of the studio. Somewhere along the line word had gotten out about her portraits and people were just about lining up to book her to take their pictures.

Her eyes drifted over the day's photos- in the eyes of the nervous bride she could see true happiness; written across the face of the young teenage girl in another photo was an unstoppable ambition. She couldn't recall seeing these things while in the studio, yet here it was- clear as day before her in the warm red glow of the darkroom.
Shaking herself free, she headed out of the darkroom intending to give Andy a call before going home for the night.

Emily: "Oh! Andy! I wasn't expecting you!"

Andy: "I wanted to stop by and see how you were doing."
Emily: "Well I'm glad you came by, I really need to talk to you about something that happened last night."
Andy: "What is it, angel?"

Emily told Andy everything that happened the night before- Mary's idea to go out for some field research, running into James & Tristan in the graveyard, Erebus' attack and James & Tristan's odd interactions with it. Andy listened intently, taking in every detail.

Emily: "And then I ran up behind it and staked it. Or tried- I missed it's heart completely. But it ran away, so that was good."
Andy: "You stabbed it through the back with a wooden stake?"
Emily: "Um, yeah. But I didn't kill it. You don't don't think I'm crazy or imagining things..."
Andy: "In this town? You get used to things that go bump in the night pretty quickly around here. I don't think you're crazy in the least."
Emily: "I think tonight Mary & I mi-"

Andy: "Angel, promise me you won't try to find that thing again. Whatever it was, I have people who know how to deal with this sort of thing."
Emily: "Andy..."
Andy: "I'll call them before we leave. Just please promise me you won't go after it again."
Emily: "I promise."

Andy: "I... don't know what I'd do if anything were to happen to you."
Emily's breath caught in her throat.
Emily: "Andy..."
