deception_pass: (New Tristan Angst)

Thanks everyone for your input on the release of the next episode. I'm closing the poll now, but things were pretty much dead-even between waiting for a super long episode or having it come out in two parts. At this point [livejournal.com profile] rosewalker and I are going to play it by ear- if we start to get really overwhelmed, you'll get a two part episode. If things come together quickly and with minimal hassle, you'll see a very long episode.

In the mean time, I welcome you all to dig through the galleries I have over in my Scrapbook. Seeing as it's 99% Deception Pass related (as I have no life outside the one in my head) I thought I'd toss the link up here for anyone who's interested. There's even a section of some of our first versions of the stories, though they're not for the weak. If you're brave enough to try reading them, keep in mind that they have little to do with any future plotlines for Deception Pass. The galleries appear in chronological order, so the oldest pictures are at the start while the most recent will be at the end. I don't think there's anything particularly spoilery in any of the galleries.

Again, thanks for the input and for reading!! :D

I have two myself:)
I have to say the Masquerade gallery is breathtaking! Great job! Would love to see that in a future storyline;) (maybe the Masque of the Red Death would be appropriate)

I r nosey..
I'm just curious what is THIS (http://pics.livejournal.com/aikea_guinea/gallery/0002tz35?page=1)
gallery about?
It seems realllly interesting whatever it is.

Reminds me of a webpage I found a year or so ago and then promptly lost, it had stories and pictures of abandonded house/building and supposed haunted places.

Re: I r nosey..
Oh hey that's mine!!

They were pictures I took of an abandoned site near my house and I didn't have a paid account then so Danielle let me host the pictures in her Scrapbook. I then posted them in [livejournal.com profile] abandonedplaces (most amazing comm for abandoned sites/urban exploration and such). I have a paid account now so subsequent photoshoots are all in my Scrapbook, and in fact I just posted my latest one in said comm, so feel free to check it out. :D

Ahaha, what is Tristan doing? How come my sims have never done that, that's so unbearably cute! I used to do that with my little brother when we were young! :P

Tristan or Jacob? Jacob is doing 'talkie hands', and Tristan is being 'Coy'. I think. :X

Eek, sorry, I meant Jacob. I suck :)

My sims never talkie hands themselves, it's so cute :)

Mine don't either, but they fear me so that they do whatever I tell them.

Muah hah hah hah, rule them with an iron fist and the over-arching fear of pool ladder removal!

the galleries are very cool!!! I now want a This Velvet Oblivion shirt, so everyone will ask "what's This Velvet Oblivion?" :-)

Oh yes, but then you have to explain it to them...

Me: "Um, it's a band."

Comic book guy: "Oh? What do they do?"

Me: "Um, you probably haven't heard them."

Comic book guy: "Why not?"

Me: "Er, they aren't a *real* band... see, there's the story, and... um, HEY LOOK IT'S ELVIS!"

*runs away*

I'd completely forgotten about that! Somehow... must have been all the alcohol involved.

And we get to do it all over again this year! I'm going to make new This Velvet Oblivion shirts through cafe press this time because the one I made last year has disintegrated, and not in a cool way.

*shifty eyes*

Would you mind if I made a TVO zip-hoodie? Like, 'This Velvet Oblivion' in fancy script on the front side and Tristan's "wings" on the back? I'd probably purple-fabric paint it on a black hoodie. Or vice-versa. Yeah.

I love the behind the scenes notes. I occasionally come across pages of my own like that. It's a lot of fun.

I was wondering, how did you set up the scenery for the beach party? It's absolutely gorgeous, especially the long distance, over the water shot.

I used the largest lot I have in my game, I think it's 6x6? but I'm not entirely sure. With a relatively flat neighborhood you can get the illusion of vast areas of empty space pretty easily. The actual terrain paint and items mostly came from the sims resource. ^_^
