Tristan sat alone in the office of the recording studio, trying to concentrate on scoring some music the band had come up with earlier in the week. He found himself becoming distracted very easily, so much so that he was half considering giving up and calling Markus to hang out with. James had made it clear that he wasn't going to be available that night, something about a really hot date. After giving it a little thought, he realized he wasn't even really in a socializing mood after all. Maybe what he needed was some time in the recording studio. Just as he was about to get up, there was a knock at the door.

Xero: "Hi! How are you this evening?"
Tristan: "G-"
Xero: "Great!"

Xero: "I've got a delivery of flowers here for you."
Tristan: "Oh! Huh."

Xero: "You're working late tonight, eh?"
Tristan: "Yeah, jus-"
Xero: "This is my last delivery- been a long day! Great weather to be out in, though- crystal clear skies, nice breeze off the sound, lots of sun. Hope you got to enjoy it at least a little!"
Tristan: "Yeah I was out."

Xero: "Look at me, just talking your ear off! Here, just sign for these and I'll get out of your hair."
Tristan: "Thanks."

After mindlessly signing for the flowers, Tristan brought them into the studio's lounge. After setting them down on a table he leaned forward and smelled them deeply. They gave off a strong almost spicy scent- not entirely unlike nutmeg with a hint of cinnamon. He thought it was a strange smell to come out of a flower. Stepping back he noticed the card attached to the vase.

'To James, Markus, & Tristan- Thanks for the interview! Love, Jessica'
Tristan had to laugh to himself- she was even enthusiastic in her writing. He put the card down on the table before heading into the recording studio- songs were swimming in his head and needed to be brought out before they were lost.

A nod to the fabulous Firefly, I'm assuming...
You are absolutely amazing with character creation!
