Markus stared straight ahead at the road, his teeth clenched tightly. He should have been home hours ago, lounging carelessly in front of the television with Serge. Instead his night had dragged out into total anarchy caused by the lunacy of not only his friends, but his very own grandmother.

Abigail: "The heart makes us do things the mind would never dream of. The price of not helping them was far too high."
Markus: "So you said. That doesn't make killing Mary any less insane."
Abigail: "Mary did not stay dead."
Markus: "She very easily could have."

Abigail: "If it had been Serge, you'd have done no less to save him."
Markus: "No, I'd have gone with James to find a grief councilor."
Abigail: "Your lips speak one thing, but I can see into your heart, Callaloo."

Markus didn't bother with a response, once again turning his attention fully to the road before him. He hated thinking of anything happening to Serge, of what he might to if faced with spending the rest of his life without him. With a deep breath he pushed the thoughts away, still uneasy with the truth of his grandmother's words.

He turned into their driveway, wanting nothing more than to put the night behind him. He turned the car off, hesitating a moment before getting out. Abigail sat unmoving next to him, her eyes sparkling in the darkness.

Markus: "What they did was way beyond stupid, and I'm finished talking about this for tonight."
Abigail: "You've lost none of them. They'll be with you for ages to come. Now let's stop with the foolishness and get inside."
Serge greeted both of them at the door, his smile stretching from ear to ear.

Serge: "Grandma! I wasn't expecting to see you again until next month in LA!"
Abigail: "One cannot hope to go against cosmic will, Serge."
Serge: "How long are you going to be staying with us this time?"
Abigail: "Just until the weekend."

Markus: "Sorry I'm so late."
Serge: "It's ok, I kept dinner in the oven. I figured you'd be home eventually, unless you'd met someone else of course."
Markus: "Of course."
Serge: "So how was work tonight? Anything interesting happen?"

Markus: "Just another typical night saving people's lives…"

God I love this story. Oh man. Love it soooo much. Fantastic storytelling as always. :) Thank y'all for putting all the work into this and sharing it!
I'd cry if this was the end :O
God. I dont think I can surmise this all. Just... so... amazing.
I kept gripping my seat, TERRIFIED that Emily was going to die. And I cried and it all scared me so much. Especially when Mary decided to trade her soul for Emily's. The ultimate friendship there; dying to save one friend, willing to trade your soul for hers.
And Tristan. Poor Tristan. You know he wants her and I bet he feels like there's nothing he can do about it.
Oh god, I hope Emily has no lasting injuries. I can only imagine how badly it had to have hurt to wake up while they were making the icision. GOD I can't imagine that. >.< So much pain.
Poor Deanna. :( I think she's realized the truth. How terrible. She loves him and... he loves Emily.
Guh. Markus. Poor Markus. I wish he'd TRY to understand. :( I wish he wouldn't think them so stupid. Abigail is right. He'd do it for Serge.
Once again you've done it :P The emotional turmoil; laughter and tears and joy and giddiness and all of that. And the way you write, oh my gooood. Even without the pictures, this is all so amazing. Just... the words and descriptions and emotions. It all totally wraps around you and draws you in in the most amazing way.
Guh. I love this.
I love you guys <333333333333333333
Nice one. ^_^
So, season finale... when's the next season on? Is it dependent on the ratings? ^_^ There are still so many things unanswered and open. *sighs* But it was a fun ride, exciting and well done. Really amazing.
Thanks for sharing this story and for finishing it, too. It must have been quite a project and very time consuming! :)
I think we're taking a bit of a break now, a few weeks off to recover. This episode was exhausting, to say the least. We'll probably get back in the swing of things after DragonCon (end of this month).
Of course, if the muse strikes I'll have to listen to her. My brain is already churning even though it needs a really long nap after this. XD
It makes it so tempting to worship you as the goddess of sim soaps.
Man. I'm so superjealous of your creativity and pretty, pretty sims. :)
Great season finale. Can't wait for next season :D
Can't wait until season two.
Need more Jacob. >.>;;
Great episode! Champagne and cookies all around!
This epiode was wonderful, I didn't expect anything less though. Can't wait for season two.
And dang, I wish I had a friend like that who'd come to the afterlife and save me. lol
All I can say is wow. I can't believe this came online right after the crazy dream I had, which included James! Talk about cosmic timing.
Of course I'm sad this is the season finale but at least I can plot things in my head and come up with possible theories as what will happen next. At least it's just the season finale. Oh the possibilities for the upcoming seasons. =)
I feel like there's more to say but I don't know how to say it. I'm just absolutely concerned for every one of the characters. Even Andy, and that's saying a lot! Brava, girls, brava.
This was awesome, awesome, awesome.
I am very happy with this season's finale! :D
Both of you did an amazing job, and I am so glad to know Season Two will show up eventually.
Inspired.
HUGZ
Seeing the girls parents crying was sad, poor guys, I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. Especially after getting hope like that!
And now, I leave with this. MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE!
