Progress Update

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the next episode should hopefully be online by the end of the week. There's been a *lot* going on behind the scenes (besides my general daily battles with ADD) that's resulted in the long delay in updating. As far as upgrades go, I still need to finish Markus (still *way* too shiny for me), and get custom eyes done for Chris, Markus, Deanna, James, and Andy.

In the mean time, enjoy the following pictures.

Mary, I think you've got Em beat...

Jacob, sweetie, I don't think Tristan's impressed.

Light as a feather, stiff as a board?

Note to Chris fans- I completely flaked out on him. It wasn't until near the end of the shoot I realized he wasn't there.

I'm sorry but I have to ask, what are L'arc wings?

All this talk of wing tattoos makes me want to get over my fear of needles. Although, if it's going to be forever, I would do the henna idea too.

^^ Yay! I'm innovative! XD

By L'arc, I meant L'arc En ciel, which is a Japanese band (which many people are quite fond of.) The lead singer, whose name escapes me, has a tattoo of wings on his back. (I think so; truth is, L'arc isn't exactly my cup of tea, so this may be wrong.)

Also, on MtS2, there's a genetics with wings on them, called the L'arc set. (http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=55008&highlight=l%27arc+en+ciel) When I asked about the L'arc wings, I meant, there's different types: shorter wings on the shoulders (like Hyde) or longer wings covering the whole back (like Tristan).

Woo! Lenghty!

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing it up. I have seen those wings before. I wouldn't know which one would be nicer. But seeing as how I am young, maybe something like Tristan's would be personally acceptable. Seeing as how I would probably punk out from the pain, I would have to say something that is not as long as Tristan's but not as short as Hyde's.

Thank you. =)

I have to say, I really like Tristan's wings. But for me, I think I'm going to go with something a little more... archaic, more specifically, the style of wings usually used in middle-aged paintings of angels.
I really like that style. My icon is similar to the way I'll probably get it done, but there's always something to be said for realism.

Middle-ages paintings of angels' wings are *gorgeous*.

^^; I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm talking the older style, more specifically, uh... Byzantine, is the word I'm looking for.

...I'd give a picture link, but I can't find anything appropriate. >_< All the Byzantine pictures I can find are late-Byzantine, when the form was more... perfected and artists learned about our good friend, Mr. Perspective. -____-;

Much belated reply. (Loooong day of work.) But don't let the fear of needles scare you off. I hate them too... the site of someone getting stuck in a movie, if it graphic, makes me feel queasy. But when I got mine done I had to take a peek, out of curiosity, and it didn't look like a needle at all. It was more like the artist was drawing on my arm with a really fine-tip marker. A really *painful* marker, but nevertheless...

And I totally agree with taking any new tattoo for a test drive before you actually get it done. Mine's on my forearm, about three inches from my wrist, so I had to really make sure I wanted it. I went to a dollar store and bought dozens of temporary armband tattos and wore those 24/7 for two months. Five years later I'm still totally in love with the 'real deal' but I wanted to make sure I wasn't just being impulsive.

I meant to actually show off my tatty with that post. Livejournal hates me a bit right now I guess. Trying again... (shameless obstinance)
