Deception Pass | The Soundtrack II

This is 'Deception Pass | The Soundtrack | Part II'. Why Part II? Because, sadly, Part I was far too long to share with everyone. This is a more compact and brand new soundtrack that fits with a few things from Season One and a lot of things from Season Two.

16 Songs | Lyric Sheet | 74.1MB

I'm posting this now as there's at least one song on here that, while way over the top and melodramatic, fits with the coming episode. I'm hoping beyond hope to have that up on Friday.

Edit:
Yesterday I had to battle the worst migraine I've had in months, so unfortunatly I'm a day behind on the work for the next episode. It should be up Saturday. ^_^

Idumea

The title lyrics for Episode 21. This is a traditional hymn performed by Patrick Wolf. I first heard this song at the beginning of the extended version of his video for ‘Tristan’, so I have strong connections between it and Deception Pass.

Wallflower

Reminds me of Emily and how she’s going to be growing and changing in the coming season.

Verticals

Andy.

Shine Like The Stars

Ever since I used this for a This Velvet Oblivion video, I can’t hear it without seeing them. TVO always sounded quite a bit like the Mission in my head anyway, so…

Winterborn (this sacrifice)

This song is the soundtrack for both parts of Episode 22.

The Drowning Man

How Deception Pass makes me feel.

Northern Lad

Deanna.

The Childcatcher

Some may say that I’m sick for seeing parallels between a song about child molestation and Jacob being turned into a vampire…

Jacob’s Ladder

Jacob. As an aside, yes, he was named after the song. One of those things where I made a sim and panicked on the name and ended up reaching for the nearest CD. Good thing it was ‘Wind In The Wires’ and not… something else really.

Tristan

Tristan. Obviously. Just for the record, I didn’t hear this song until November of 2005. It’s one of those strange times when influences meet across time and space. My brain wasn’t quite right for weeks after I heard this the first time. I may not have ever recovered.

Tie Fighter

I had this song on repeat when I wrote the scene where Tristan left Deception Pass back at Halloween. As silly as it sounds, I see him listening to it in the car as he drives away. XD

Cooling

Deanna.

Here. In My Head

Deanna.

Bad Moon Rising

Season Two.

Deception

A song called ‘Deception’ about a vampire? It had to go on here. Also, I dance to this song in my kitchen. ‘What does that have to do with Deception Pass?’ you ask. I come up with plot ideas in the kitchen sometimes? I dunno.

*squeal* I already have a lot of those songs, and it's all your fault! LOL Awesome soundtrack there. I'll have to download it when I get to a better connection this weekend...then I'll have something to listen to while I read the next part!

I wonder if I can sleep until Friday...that way I won't have to be awake and waiting (im)patiently... :D

I reread that and I dub that proof that Emily survives -shifty- :D

I have every single song on here already. Except Winterborn, I think. But yeah.

And you have no idea how stupid happy it made me to see Bad Moon Rising made the soundtrack. ^_^ *goes to listen to it*

Very cool. Thanks!

I always love listening to music. Currently, my iPod is holding My Chemical Romance as I write my own tale. o.O

Maybe this will help break me out of my rut.

You rock!

This has nothing to do with music, but I had to let you know I finally got to try Strawberries & Cream Diet Pepsi!! Mmmmmmm... Way better than the Dr Pepper Berries 'N Cream--that stuff tastes like cough syrup to me.

Oh man, when I was watching...reading...er, watching... the last scene you simmed for the next ep, I totally had a song in my head and now I can't remember what the hell it was.

Oh wait, nevermind, it was Mad World which I only thought of because, um, spoilers spoilery spoiler.

But I wish I could remember all the other songs on the soundtrack in my head when I'm writing. Definitely "What Sarah Said" by Death Cab for 22-1, and "Into the Dark" for sure.

We should make a master list one of these days. XD

I'm irked. I used to have Mad World but it's suddenly vanished from my computer. Grr.

Oh yes, so downloading this later on.

You have me scouring Limewire for Patrick Wolf and The Mission songs because I like 'Tristan', 'Jacob's Ladder', and 'Shine Like The Stars' so much. And now I'm starting to add 'The Cure' to my music tastes, woo! And who said a DP addiction was a bad thing? XD

Most all of this music is new to me - though I recognise a Bad Moon Rising from an earlier time.

I'm looking forward to listening to this.

And Yay! for dancing in the kitchen - all good people dance in the kitchen :D

Well I guess I could pull myself together and post a comment for the first time ^^; (not fun being dead scared of people no)

I love The Cruxshadows! Found a site here from where I can finaly get some of their CDs, I'm from Finland so it's hard most of the time. I guess I'm just shamefully materialistic for not being happy with just downloads ^~

I didn't really like Bad Moon Rising, guess I'm too much into CCR, I grew up with them and Bad Moon Rising happens to be my favorite song, so it just didn't sound right x_X Perhaps if I get used to it :) Other then that I liked the songs ^^ Not as much as I love Deception Pass though haha xD

Deception Pass is like the best ever o_O So keep it up ^^ I like Andy, I tend to like the bad guys, I'd wanna work in his lab, then I could be a mad scientist muahahahaha x)

I totally understand not liking the cover of Bad Moon Rising--I'm like that with covers of Cure songs. With the exception of Tori Amos covering Lovesong, all the rest just sound wrong. :D

And yay for more Andy fans! XD

Hi. Long time follower, and I'm pretty sure this is my first time posting...anyways, I'm in freakin' love with Deception Pass, it fuels my Sims 2 fandom far beyond its already mind numbing sexyness. Onto this soundtrack, I absolutely love 'Shine Like The Stars' and 'Tristan'..just put both onto my mp3. Thank you for these, and keep up the brilliant work, you guys! =3

I hate when I stumble on something, become obsessed with it and when there are downloads like these (and the shirts) I can't grab them because it's not available anymore. Oh well. I'll still get the songs in other ways. I'm so in love with this story that I just have to try to get everything I can :)

Alright, I made a YouTube playlist of both soundtracks (and if there's more further in, I'll add them as I read). So far, only song missing is "Verticals" by The Fading Collection.

Updated
I have finally gotten around to fixing the list, which has been broken for ages. It even has Verticals by The Fading Collection, finally. I guessed you meant the VtM Bloodlines main theme, as that was always the more popular of the two VtM video games, but if it's the wrong one I can dig up the Redemption theme from the earlier one and swap them. Most of the songs are now from either the artists' official YT or from the artists' topics, so hopefully it won't get so terribly broken again.
