This is 'Deception Pass | The Soundtrack | Part II'. Why Part II? Because, sadly, Part I was far too long to share with everyone. This is a more compact and brand new soundtrack that fits with a few things from Season One and a lot of things from Season Two.

16 Songs | Lyric Sheet | 74.1MB

I'm posting this now as there's at least one song on here that, while way over the top and melodramatic, fits with the coming episode. I'm hoping beyond hope to have that up on Friday.

Edit:
Yesterday I had to battle the worst migraine I've had in months, so unfortunatly I'm a day behind on the work for the next episode. It should be up Saturday. ^_^

Idumea

The title lyrics for Episode 21. This is a traditional hymn performed by Patrick Wolf. I first heard this song at the beginning of the extended version of his video for ‘Tristan’, so I have strong connections between it and Deception Pass.

Wallflower

Reminds me of Emily and how she’s going to be growing and changing in the coming season.

Verticals

Andy.

Shine Like The Stars

Ever since I used this for a This Velvet Oblivion video, I can’t hear it without seeing them. TVO always sounded quite a bit like the Mission in my head anyway, so…

Winterborn (this sacrifice)

This song is the soundtrack for both parts of Episode 22.

The Drowning Man

How Deception Pass makes me feel.

Northern Lad

Deanna.

The Childcatcher

Some may say that I’m sick for seeing parallels between a song about child molestation and Jacob being turned into a vampire…

Jacob’s Ladder

Jacob. As an aside, yes, he was named after the song. One of those things where I made a sim and panicked on the name and ended up reaching for the nearest CD. Good thing it was ‘Wind In The Wires’ and not… something else really.

Tristan

Tristan. Obviously. Just for the record, I didn’t hear this song until November of 2005. It’s one of those strange times when influences meet across time and space. My brain wasn’t quite right for weeks after I heard this the first time. I may not have ever recovered.

Tie Fighter

I had this song on repeat when I wrote the scene where Tristan left Deception Pass back at Halloween. As silly as it sounds, I see him listening to it in the car as he drives away. XD

Cooling

Deanna.

Here. In My Head

Deanna.

Bad Moon Rising

Season Two.

Deception

A song called ‘Deception’ about a vampire? It had to go on here. Also, I dance to this song in my kitchen. ‘What does that have to do with Deception Pass?’ you ask. I come up with plot ideas in the kitchen sometimes? I dunno.

Can I jump in on this? I've managed to find all but two of the tracks on the first album. (I'm stubborn and figured that if I can find a really obscure German Christmas album for my mom I should be able to find all of them myself.) But I'm having a helluva time tracking down Hurricane by Ego Likeness. And "Vampire Theme"? Ummm... can I get specifics? Thanks!

I got the Ego Likness song right off their website. Here's the specific page the MP3 is on:

http://www.egolikeness.com/music.php_files/water.html

You have to scroll down a bit. :D

Now to be completely unhelpful--The Vampire Theme... I'm not even sure that's what it's called. It's from the Vampire The Masquerade Game soundtrack I think, and was sent to me so I have no idea where you could find it.

Ahh, a mystery. Guess I'll have to do without then (unless I manage to stumble across it). Oh, and thanks for the link. I don't think I ever would have foudn that on my own.

Re: Vampire Theme
I don't know if you ever figured that out. I'd take a stab in the dark and suggest Bloodsucker 2000, but you can find a full playlist of the album on YouTube these days.

Re: Vampire Theme
Oh wait. "Vampire the Masquerade *game* soundtrack"

I thought of the "Music from the Succubus Club" album, because the video games never register as being VtM to me really.
